Revel in the Genius of Brian Wilson During a Special Beach Boys Tribute Show
Soak up the final days of summer with music by the quintessential summer band, The Beach Boys. Sail On: The Beach Boys Tribute is a new show based out of Nashville, Tennessee, that focuses on performing songs by America's Band to sheer perfection. Now, the group brings their talents to the Duluth stage on August 10th.
The Beach Boys are an American rock band formed in California in 1961. They began as a garage band, managed by the Wilsons' father Murry, with Brian's musicianship dominating their creative direction. In 1963, they gained national prominence with a string of top-ten hits reflecting a southern California youth culture of surfing, cars, and romance, later dubbed the "California Sound."
Sail On breathes new life into the tunes that made their idols famous. The gifted musicians have performed with musicians from The Beach Boys, The Zombies, Earth Wind and Fire, and Cheap Trick. They have also worked with Mark Lindsay and produced recordings for Micky Dolenz of the Monkees fame. Don’t miss Sail On perform live at Red Clay Music Foundry!
